The reason I got the Nova Ceramic cup was to replace my stainless steel tumblers. While you're told that steel tumblers don't affect taste, they do. My coffee taste matters. Even if it's 'work coffee', I don't want it to have an essence of metal. I'm not picky about much of anything but coffee is my vice, as it were.
Nova? Did the trick. Obvious, but the ceramic cup lets the coffee be coffee. If I'm honest, those reading a review of a tumbler for $30+, you're like me with regard to coffee taste fussiness. If so, you're going to be pleased.
And yes, it looks nice too.
The sleeve and cap fit nicely. I was owrried becaude not all silicone stuff like this works well. The top is secure once you snug it on. The sleeve does not slide all the way up as yet but it slide to where I hold a cup, so I'm cool with that.
You can toss that metal tumbler work gave you in to the same pile as the other two you got from them this year!
I bought this for my husband for Father’s Day and he absolutely loves it. He has become a big tea drinker and is happy he is able to take it with to travel for work and it stays hot.
having had other ceramic travel mugs i can only offer my opinion on this one compared to them. i find that hot drinks get cold very quickly, other mugs I've used had the silicon all round the mug, thus helping the drink stay hotter longer. and as for the lid, it smells and tastes of silicon. there’s no way around this. Maybe a hard plastic lid would change this? Honestly just really disappointed with the mug in general.
Love the look and feel of this but it definitely doesn't keep coffee super warm and I find it a bit annoying that the lids for the smaller cups don't fit on the taller cups (the way Yeti and other brands do).
I got this cup for my mom for Christmas. She has been concerned about microplastics after my dad's cancer came back. One thing she struggled with getting was a good travel cup that wasn't plastic.
She was so excited when she opened her new travel cup. Only issue she has, the lip is very tight and can be hard to get on. But she also noted, she would rather have the lid be tight, than have coffee spilled on her.
The sticker which seals the box closed arrived sliced, like it was previously opened. That was a bit surprising to me. Other than that, the mug itself was intact and represented correctly in the online catalog photo. Cheers!
I love the heat that it keeps for my tea.
I ordered the sleeve and lid because I could not even hold the cup after pouring my tea.
The sleeve does not seem to keep the heat away from my hand so I have to hold the cup around the rim for the first few minutes until it cools down enough.
Not sure the benefit if I have to wait to enjoy the tea until it cools down to hold it.
I could just use my old mug.
I love my coffee in a ceramic mug. The 16oz Nova cup allows me to take a ceramic mug on the road. I love the sip top and the hot sleeve for holding. Excellent cup shape for drinking without the sip top too. It’s my favorite.
I got these coffee cups for my daughter and me to cut down on disposables and be healthier—and I love it! The design is so pretty, and it makes our morning coffee feel extra special.
I love this cup, and get compliments whenever I bring it to a coffee shop as my reuable cup. The ceramic can get very hot, and the sleeve does just what it should. Super easy to clean - I will get a lot of use out of this!
I ordered a 16 oz cup and my 12 oz of coffee would not fit - it splashed out all over my counter - I was in an email with someone letting them know that I did not get a 16 oz like I ordered and they assured me that I did - not real happy at all with the whole experience
